Photos: Chasidim Celebrate Printing of Tzemach Tzedek’s Work

Yesterday, on the 15th of Av, a Farbrengen was held in the small Zal of 770 in honor of the printing of the Tzemach Tzedek’s work ‘Or Hatorah’ by Kehot Publications.

Among those in attendance were: Rabbi Eliyahu Matusof of Otzar Hachasidim, Rabbi Pinchos Korf and Rabbi Kuti Feldman.

The Farbrengen was arranged by Rabbi Shmuel Pevzner.

    Weren’t Gavriel Shapiro and Nochum Greenwald also planning to attend? I don’t see them in any of these pictures.

    What was going on there? Virtually all the facial expressions were… [Well you decide for yourself.]
    One person speaking? Surrounded by empty bench? Looks like he was forcing a point (look at the arms.) Speaking of arms: Feldman is cringing and appears to be challenging, and whom he challenges is sitting erect, looking down at him, with folded arms.

    Take this comment for what it’s worth. To me it is what a farbrengen ought to be: A calm analysis of Vu men halt. Now let’s here someone respond, and someone else learn a lesson in middos.
