Indian Politician: Leave Baby Moshe Alone!

Hindustan Times

Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah has said Baby Moshe, who parents Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg died in the 26/11 attacks at Nariman House, needs to be left alone rather than reminded about gruesome terror attack.

“Am I the only one who thinks that poor Moshe needs to be left alone rather than reminded, like clock work every year, about 26/11,” Omar wrote on mirco-blogging networking site Twitter.

Baby Moshe miraculously escaped during the siege at Nariman House in Mumbai but had lost his Jewish parents. Moshe, who celebrated his third birthday a week ago, has turned three and wants to return to his birthplace Mumbai.

The country paid tributes to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack on its third anniversary.

Three years ago on November 26, 2008, 10 Pakistani terrorists held Mumbai hostage for nearly 60 hours killing 166 people, including several security personnel and foreigners besides over 300 people injured.

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna has called upon Pakistan to bring the perpetrators of the crime to speedy justice.

  • I Agree With Politician

    Respectfully, I agree 100%.

R”L, this will be a lot of pressure for a boy to be raised up in.

Keep the spotlight off him, regardless of the short-term agenda.

The story has been, and will continue to be used for political gain, and to push various agendas. Those that engage in that don’t really care what emotional trauma Moshe goes through. The politician is correct.

As long as the issue isn’t exploited, it can and probably should be discussed
with him – appropriate to whatever age he is at that time.

POLITICIAN HAS OWN AGENDA.HE CARES ABOUT THE EMOTIONAL WELL BEING OF MOSHELE? NOT! HE CARES ABOUT THE POSSIBLE ANGER THAT WILL MAYBE FESTER IN HIM AND MIGHT CAUSE HIM TO WANT TO AVENGE HIS PARENTS MURDER CHAS V’SHOLOM. HE KNOWS TOO WELL THE BEHAVIOR OF PALISTINIANS,MOSLEMS ET AL AND ASSUMES THAT WE ARE LIKE THEM

    Totally agree with him!!!
Leave him to live a normal life!
To what purpose is it to remind him year after year after year about the tragedy he went through!!???
    LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!

  • Kiddush Hashem

I disagree. A boy whose parents left this world al pi kiddush Hashem before the eyes of the whole world, and whose self-sacrifice then created an unprecedented feeling of unity amongst Jews from all walks of life, should know that.

I think his family SHOULD remind him of his parents but not focus on the details that they were murdered. And get him out of the spot light – bh he is a healthy 5 year old boy now. leave him alone!!!!!!!!!

Although I say his kapital along with my own children’s, I agree completely and have thought this for awhile. We should daven for him but he has enough challenges up ahead of him without him being in the media.
