Boxing superstar and soon-to-be rabbi Yuri Foreman visited United Lubavatcher Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway. Yuri is a Belarussian-born Israeli-American professional boxer. He is the former World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight champion.
After going professional in January of 2002 in the Junior Middleweight Division, Yuri remained undefeated for 29 fights.
Yuri was an inspiration to all the talmidim. All the students absorbed and fully felt that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to, and that everything is coming from Hashem.
Yuri shared many personal stories of challenges and triumphs, knowing that Hashem was always looking out for him. Emunah will get you where you need to go, he said.
