Presidential Candidate Jon Huntsman Visits the Ohel
Republican presidential candidate, Former Utah governor and U.S. Ambassador to China Jon M. Huntsman, Jr., visited the resting place of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, in Cambria Heights, N.Y.
Huntsman and his wife, Mary Kaye Huntsman, were accompanied by philanthropists Harvey and Gloria Kaylie; Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, chairman of the worldwide educational and social service arms of Chabad-Lubavitch; Rabbi Levi Shemtov, Washington director of American Friends of Lubavitch; Rabbi Benny Zippel, executive director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Utah; and several supporters of Chabad’s efforts in the Beehive State.
In his conversations with rabbinical leaders at the holy site, Huntsman expressed his admiration for the work of Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries around the globe, particularly in his home state.
At the Rebbe’s resting place, which is visited every year by tens of thousands of people seeking inspiration and blessings, the Huntsmans reportedly prayed for the wellbeing of their family, the American people and humanity at large.

Anything to get votes from Yidden! I thought highly of Huntsman up until now. Going to the Ohel and getting photographed no less shows he just out for votes. Why would goyim want to go there? Huntsman can politick to Yidden in a non-religious atmosphere–there’s no need to prove anything.

obama for ex-president

From all your posts, you are from the hard left so he couldn’t count on your vote regardless.

Hey, he’s a very frum guy…who believes a dude looked into a top hat to read the word of “god” off of the “urim v’thumim.”

Hey Number 3 here is why goyim would want to go to the Ohel…to go to the Rebbe!! Non-Jews use to stand in line with yidden and get dollars from the Rebbe. Going to the Ohel isn’t exactly going to help Huntsman in the primary. I know it may seem far fetched but could it be possible he admires the Rebbe?
not gunu be presidens so sorry john
a mormon at the ohel. great
Avi B.
To #3: He knows a holy place when he sees it. He follows the Noahide Laws…of course the Rebbe would welcome him!! I’d rather vote for a lapsed-Mormon Ohel visitor than an Evangelical Christian any day!

I was at the Ohel during the tsunami and earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Fukushima Daichi. There were other worshipers at the Ohel as well. Japan supplied Nuclear fuel rods to Iran to destroy Israel.
I was driving home from the Ohel during the earthquake in Van, Turkey. Turkey is a big troublemaker for Israel.
I am experiencing many miracles
#3 cute
What you write “Huntsman can politick to Yidden in a non-religious atmosphere–there’s no need to prove anything.” is an answer to your statement. i.e. he just might not be doing it for the votes then..
Get the picture?
He stands out like a pork chop at a NCFJE dinner.
Moshiach now
He would get my vote more if he wore a Moshiach flag and a Yechi yarmulka.

He’s polling under 2% he’s gotta a zero chance of getting anywhere, which is a even bigger reason to stay away from him, cause the real candidates will say Chabd did not support them in the beginning.
And to be honest Lubavitchers like Zippel and Krinsky should meet up with the Satmer leaders and ask them how to deal with politicians, cause so far thier doing a horrible job, we never get anything out of them.
Durning the Clinton era many Jews ( some Frum like Mark rich ) were released with presidential pardons, Chabad never was granted even one!!!!
To all the nay sayers
Boruch Hashem a person comes to the Rebbe and all you can find are problems.
And yes, he might inspire some other politicians, or even other secular people, to come visit as well.
Mormon
As a Mormon, doesn’t Huntsman believe in converting neshamas to Mormonism? Mormons do this all the time.
LEVI SHEMTOV IN THE CORNER
How did everyone miss this? Zippel is behind but Shemtov is in the corner…
Bringing someone for dollars to get a bracha from the Rebbe is one thing. Bringig someone to pray – where what they pray and whom they are prayng to is an altogether different story.
I’m betting Zippel’s shver (Rabbi IJ Schochet) would agree!
