Totally Jewish

London, England — Rabbi Leivi Sudak the popular rabbi of Edgware Lubavitch and writer of the Jewish News column A-Z of Jewish Customs, successfully underwent serious surgery this week to remove a benign tumour in his pituitary gland.

Doctors say his condition is improving daily. Jewish News readers and friends have sent dozens of emails, offering wishes for a speedy recovery and asking for his address to send flowers.

His brother, Rabbi Zalman Sudak said: “My brother is moved and grateful for everyone’s best wishes and huge support – and not to worry, he’s written his A-Z column two weeks in advance!”

The family has suggested donations to tzedakah via the website rather than sending personal gifts. To make a donation, visit www.LubavitchOfEdgware.com/donate.

Refuah selaimah bakol mi kol kol
To a wonderful shaliach to a son of a shaliach and to a dugma chayah to all lubavitcher chasidim.

  • Surprised!

Yes! Refuah Shelaima immediately! But MUST we be privy to every private detail of his medical condition? Was this printed with the Rabbi’s permission?

    To surprised:

Rabbi Sudak’s surgery was actually written up in the Jewish Chronicle, an English gutter- press paper not known for its positive attitude towards frumkeit or Frum yidden. So I guess it is public knowledge. Refuah Shleima B’Karov Mamash!

regardless of where it was printed..is it EVERYONE’s business to know EVERYTHING about his personal life? I think the well-wishes are very thoughtful but i think this should be immediately removed from here.

  • agree with surprised

I wish him all the best but crownheights.info shouldn’t be publicizing medical information about people. A bit of sensitivity. U’know you could let everyone know who had heart attacks lately strokes, bypasses, broken bones!!!!!!!!. Real yentish.
