In Person and Via Webcast, Vaad Shluchim to Attend Tzeirei HaShluchim Dinner

The Yud-Gimmel Iyar dinner celebrating 13 years of Yeshivas Tzeirei HaShluchim’s dedication to Shlichus will feature Vaad HaShluchim representative Rabbi Shmuel Lew, and participation of the other members via live webcast.

“Based on our personal knowledge and experience, we have answered the call to get involved with Tzeirei HaShluchim, introducing Shluchim to this powerhouse of learning,” said the Vaad in the statement.

The Vaad was formed earlier this year to liaise with Shluchim worldwide and further develop and expand the yeshiva’s all ready top-notch program. Lew is joined on the Vaad by fellow Shluchim: Rabbi Mordechai Abergel, Singapore; Rabbi Shea Hecht, Crown Heights; Rabbi Avremi Kievman, Liverpool England; and Rabbi Chaim Shaul Steinmetz, Sarasota FL.

A large number of Alumini and supporters will also participate via webcast.

The dinner also marks the 60th year since the passing of the Rebbe’s brother, Rabbi Yisroel Aryeh Leib, who is buried inTzfat.

“When we realized that these two events were coinciding on the 13th of Iyar, in the very place of the Rebbe’s brother’s kever, we decided we had to do something special to mark the occasion,” explains Rabbi Chaim Kaplan, Head Shliach of Tzfat and the yeshiva’s director.

The yeshiva was founded 13 years ago by Head Shliach, Rabbi Aryeh Leib Kaplan, A”H, following a Kinus HaShluchim session focused on the need for a yeshiva that caters to the sons of Shluchim – the next generation of Shluchim.

As part of its mandate, the Yeshiva offers subsidized tuition that makes a top tier yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel fit the limited budget of shluchim, and proceeds from the dinner will contribute to the Yeshiva’s scholarship fund.

“My father envisioned this Yeshiva as a sanctuary that would address the unique needs of Shluchim’s children; an academy for students who will serve as future leaders in communities around the world.”
