Ottawa Winter Camp Brings Unity

With close to 20 children in Camp Gan Israel’s winter camp in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa’s Jewish children have created tremendous unity in the community.

Lubavitch, Litvish, Conservative and unaffiliated families have sent their children to Camp Gan Israel.

The experienced counselors Mushky Caytak and Naomi Touger have provided the children with loads of fun, from gymnastics, Little Ray’s Reptiles, Museums, Sledding and more.

Each morning the children sing the 12 Pesukim (Torah verses) at line-up, following with dovening and Jewish learning.

Besides the daily trips, a full day of activities are planned including baking, crafts, concerts, and jewelry making.

C.G.I. Ottawa has brought a week of fun and unity to Jewish children in Ottawa!

Dr. and Mrs Caytak, co-founders of Jewish Youth Library, the umbrella organization for C.G.I. praised the counselors for making the camp a success. “Through the dedication and professionalism of Mushky and Naomi, C.G.I. provided the very best winter camp possible.”
