Girls Join ‘TraitWatchers’ – To Gain, Not Lose

The girls of Beth Rivkah Ladies College of Melbourne, Australia have been part of a program for the past three months, working on themselves by refining their character traits and chassidishkeit.

The program, called ‘Traitwatchers,’ a play on the famous ‘Weightwatchers,’ encourages the girls to work on character traits with the help of an older mentor, who arranges weekly meetings to add up points and keep track of progress.

Participants received a learning booklet with Chitas and other items, including a checklist for positive actions such as going out of their way for others, helping at home, saying chitas, shema from a card, tznius, respect for teachers, volunteer work and much more.

The incentive for this program is a ticket to New York for Chof Beis Shevat to be a part of the girl’s convention.

The program is run by Chabad Youth of Melbourne, led by Rabbi Moshe and Dina Kahn.
