I would like to commend my kids’ schools, Oholei Torah and Bnos Menachem for standing by their principals regarding the internet. I will, bli neder, try to give them a bit extra tzedoko in recognition of this. If you are a parent of a child in one of these schools, I encourage you to do the same.

b. bnos menachem is an awesome schooll, but calm down as well, they did join,,,just too late….so get over the whole internet crap.
c. uly is the best so i will definitely vote for them.
Dear Eli B.
I don’t think Bnos Menachem and OT need any commendation for not participating in this contest. This contest shows how modern day technology and social media can be used for the good. At a time when all of our schools can benefit from such a large sum of money, not participating in such a contest on the basis of principal, is completely pathetic and unChabad. We as Lubavitchera should be able to know how to utilize the internet and social media for the betterment of our society, is it not our motto to elevate the mundane???
Yosef
How wrong you are Eli B. we should compete and may the best school win!
rohr bais chaya
pleaseeee vote they need it!
Bnos Menachem DID enter the contest
they did not make it into the top 100, so #8, sorry to burst your bubble about them, but they are definately in the contest.
to #12
It’s totally not chabad to use facebook. i on principle do not have a facebook account, i dont want to bring this kind of thing to my house. I know people who were always so careful with internet and facebook and opened up an account just for voting for friendship circle in the chase bank contest. and guess what? they are now totally addicted and wast hours of their time glued to the computer. There was one lady a few weeks ago tried very hard to convince me to open up a facebook account… when i think of the lubavitcher teenagers who were strong enough not to open up an account till now, and were convinced by the very teachers and principals who yelled against it, to open one up now just to vote… i shudder…
to 12
I don’t think OT had the ability to participate because they don’t have limudei choyl, and the terms of the contest was that the funds can’t be used for religious purposes.
And to all Lubavitchers, PLEASE VOTE FOR SILVERSTEIN HEBREW ACADEMY. Thank you all.
