Kinus Hatemimim Talmidim Hashluchim in Australia

Over the weekend of Yud Beis and Yud Gimmel Tamuz the Talmidim Hashluchim of Australia gathered in the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad Headquarters of NSW, to inspire each other over Shabbos.

Organized by Hatomim Hashliach Mendel Chaiton and Yosef Schrage sheyichyu with assistance from Hatomim Hashliach Moishi Lewis and Rafael Harkem sheyichyu, the Kinus started with a Thursday night Farbrengen.

At the Farbrengen the official opening of the Kinus was made with words of blessing and inspiration by the Rebbe’s Head Shliach to NSW, Rabbi Pinchus Feldman spiritual dean of the Yeshiva gedolah and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Feldman Menahel Ruchni and Mashpia of the Yeshiva Gedolah. Rabbi Yosef Feldman sponsored a full course meal for the event catered by Reb Shmaryahu Bowder of Cafe’ 770.

The farbrengen continued till the small hours of the morning with inspiring words from the Shliach Rabbi Eli Cohen of Kensington, NSW and the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Berel Light.

Continuing Friday morning, despite their fatigue, the Talmidim Hashluchim all came to a morning Seder Chassidus Friday morning “Der Rebbe’s Seder” and than had an exciting extremely thorough Shiur by Rabbi Moishe Hacohen sheyichye Gutnick on the controversial topic of making an Eiruv, what is the Rebbe’s position on the matter.

The over fifty Talmidim Hashluchim spent Shabbos together farbrenging and inspiring each other with stories of their experiences from their shlichus.

The Kinus climaxed with an exciting Melava Malka at the home of Reb Menashe Harkam, Rabbi Daniel Kaye, Mashgiach of the Yeshiva Gedolah, told as is customary Moitzoai Shabbos, a story about the “Ohr Hachaim Hakodosh” Reb Chaim Ben Atar, whose Yortzait was that night, the 15th of Tamuz, the Baba Sali, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu ZATZA“L and their great love and attachment to the Rebbe.

Special emphasis was made how in Chabad, even at that very table were sitting Moroccan, Yemenite, Italian and Babylonian – Iraqi students with their Ashkenazi brothers all proudly and equally carrying the tittle ”Talmidim Hashluchim” in their Yeshivos in Sydney Melbourne and around the globe!

Afterwards the boys went straight back to Farbreng! Words of encouragement were made by the Menahel Ruchni, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Feldman, words from the heart from the host Reb Menashe Harkham, Hatalmidim Hashluchim Sasonko and Rapoport, with final parting words before going to their separate ways to fulfil their individual shlichus by the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedola Sydney, Rabbi Berel sheyichye Light. The Farbrengen went on to 2:00am!

Special thanks to Rabbis Berel Light, Yossi Feldman, and the Harkam and Gutnik families.
