Yaldah Magazine Launches First Fiction Novel
SHARON, MA — YM Books, the newly launched book publishing branch of YALDAH Magazine is proud to present their first fiction novel: One Is Not a Lonely Number, by Evelyn Krieger. The 450-page novel tells the first-person narrative of 13-year-old Talia Schumacher, the only child of a wealthy orthodox couple, known for their hospitality.
When Gabrielle Markus, an eccentric twenty-three-year old ballet dancer shows up one day, Talia and her friends set out to uncover her secret. Along the way, Talia must deal with the loneliness she feels as an only child living in a religious community that celebrates large families. Talia’s unusual gift for math is woven into the story along with themes of friendship, individuality, and acceptance.
The book was published by mother-daughter team, Evelyn Krieger and Leah Larson. Larson, who founded YALDAH Magazine 6 years ago at the young age of 13, dreamed of publishing high-quality fiction books for Jewish girls. Two years ago she approached her mother with a proposal: to write the first YM Books fiction novel. Krieger enthusiastically agreed to the idea, and after brainstorming the plot with her daughter, she began writing. The unusual partnership worked out quite well: Larson set deadlines for her mother, suggested revisions, and took care of the publishing, formatting, and marketing aspects of the publication.
The novel will be launched on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010. An online broadcast of the launch event at the Sharon Public Library will be broadcast online at www.OneIsNotALonelyNumber.com at 6:30 PM EST.
The book is available on www.OneIsNotALonelyNumber.com or www.Amazon.com. For more info about YM Books visit www.ymbooks.org.

It’s so nice to see a book on only children. As mother of one child – it sometimes can be challenging for myself and for my child. I thank you for allowing others to be more sensitive to those in this predicament… no matter what the circumstances…we all want our children to have siblings… sometimes it’s not always so feasible … infertility, divorce..
