Cheder Menachem of Los Angeles’s 6th Annual Expo
Tuesday, the 26th of Sivan, Anash of Los Angeles, CA gathered at Cheder Menachem, the Chabad Elementary boy’s school for the 6th annual Chayolei Tzivos Hashem Grand Expo.
In celebration of 60 years of the Rebbe’s leadership, the Chayolim prepared 12 exhibits, covering the Rebbe’s revolution, starting from 5662 (the Rebbe’s birth) and covering every major milestone throughout the Rebbe’s timeline, right thru to 5770, where the Rebbe has brought us today – the threshold of Geulah.
Each one of the 12 units from Kitos Hey thru Ches were assigned a time period. They did research on that time period and then began brainstorming ways to bring their theme to life, in a fun, creative and interactive manner.
The result was the most successful and educational Expo to date; well over 300 people were in attendance. Everyone was encouraged to view and vote for each exhibit, both on its theme and creativity.
Most impressive of all was the enthusiasm of the chayolim in explaining their theme.
“This is my first year attending the Expo, and I’m totally blown away!” said a parent.
The exhibits were left overnight so that all of the Cheder’s talmidim and local members of the press would be able to view the exhibits the next day.
“”The Chayolim worked for one solid month preparing for this event.” Says Rabbi Leibel Cohen, coordinator of the program. From doing research, collecting the information, coming up with different creative ideas on how to present the events, right down the most important detail of it all – presentation. The enthusiasm these children had as they eagerly explained to each and every parents all of what happened during that time-period was catchy!”
All in all, it was a most beautiful event, injecting much chayus in the talmidim. It is the Cheder’s hope that this event gave the Rebbe, as well as everyone who benefited from the event much deserved nachas, further hastening the coming and redemption of Moshiach Tzidkeinu speedily in our days!
This exhibit covers the Rebbe’s youth; when & where the Rebbe was born, learning with his father, the story of how he saved a boy that was drowning, the story of how the Rebbe climbed a tree, visiting his grandmother, amongst other items.
The exhibit covered the Rebbe’s chasuna and a slide show presentation of many of the great tzadkim the Rebbe met throughout those years.
The exhibit covers the time when the Rebbe & Rebbetzin were running from the Nazis Yimash Shemam. Includes the story of the Rebbe getting people in the hotel, going on mesiras nefesh to get a Yanover esrog and the travel route of the Rebbe until he arrived in America.
The Rebbe arrives in America and is placed incharge of three new mosdos: Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, Machne Yisroel & Kehot, Covers many new initiatives of the Rebbe during that time period, such as the HaYom Yom, Haggada, visirting his mother in France, etc all the way unitl Yud shevat 5710, the passing of the Frierdiker Rebbe.
The Rebbe becomes the Rebbe of Dor HaSHvi’I (the water fall), Initiating new initiatives; sends shluchim, Receives smicha from the Rogachover Gaon and has a correspondence, amongst others.
Fight begins for Mihu Yehudi, Mivtza Tefillin, Moshiach’s sefer Torah, 150 year since the histalkus and the different keren Torahs & magbisin the Rebbe came out with.
Establishes 5 new Mivtzos, calls for families to gather together on Shabbos, gather children by the Kosel before tisha b’Av.
Establishes the last 4 Mivtzoim, 12 Pesukim, Hemshech Ayin Beis, establishing yeshivas, such as Ohr Elchanan Chabad in 5738 & Rosh Chodesh Kislev.

Ma Zar’oi BaChaim; How the Rebbe’s hora’os are expanding and the Rebbe’s influence is seen around the world; the establishment of thousands of new Chabad houses around the world, and new mosdos chinuch are established or expanding.
