Manchester Lag BaOmer Fun Day

Despite forcasts of rain 3000 people across the Jewish spectrum participated in the lag B’omer festivities organised and run by the bochurim of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester.

In the weeks running up to Lag B’omer all the local schools participated in a competition where the grand winner of a Wii and the runner up were drawn at the Lag B’omer rally.

Rabbi Shmully Brown from Chabad of Liverpool was the mc and representitives of each of the local schools came up to say one of the 12 Torah Pesukim.

Hundreds of children signed up for ois bsefer torah and tzivos hashem.

The carnival was followed by a community BBQ, for all the Baalei batim who are visited every friday on Mivtzoim. The BBQ ended in a fabrengen with Rabbi Yossi Chazan
