The Traveling Matzah Bakery is one of the Youth and Outreach programs run out of the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad Headqauerters of NSW.

The Traveling Model Matzah Bakery has been visiting Sydney institutions for many years now. Run by Chabad Youth NSW the Youth and Family division of the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad NSW HQ.

This year the Bakery started its travels on Sunday, 7 March in St Ives, Sydney’s North Shore and has visited different locations everyday except Saturday’s until March 26th. with over 50 shows and nearly 1500 children, adults and senior citizens booked we have had much work ahead of us.

The focus of Chabad Youth NSW is to provide Jewish education in an informal way, The Traveling Model Matzah Bakery is one of the activities we do to bring fun and educational activities to the communities. Other programs we have are the Traveling Shofar factory, the Torah scribe workshop, Holiday Camps, Festival Guides and Birthday Club. as well Jewish festival events that add excitement like the Giant Menorah lighting in Martin Place, Sukkot in Luna Park (coming up on Sunday, 26 September 2010) and Lag Baomer Jewish Parade and Carnival coming up on Sunday, 2 May 2010.

We have plans to start a Hebrew School and Bar and Bat Mitzvah clubs in the near future,

G-D willing.

Its about creating a fun and friendly environment with a message of education and unity.

Chabad Youth NSW is an initiative of The Yeshiva Centre which is headed by the Rebbe’s Head Shliach to NSW, Rabbi Pinchus Hacohen Feldman SHLIT”A and is run by Rabbi Elimelech and Chana Levy
