Rabbi Shmuel Lew Celebrates 70 with his Entire Family

CAMBRIA HEIGHTS, NY [CHI] — Friday, an unusual sight confronted visitors to the Ohel. Rabbi Shmuel Lew – senior Shliach in London, England – celebrated his seventieth birthday this Shabbos, Chof Adar.

He had expressed a wish that his entire family join him at the Ohel in honor of this important milestone. His children were able to arrange this and at precisely 12:30pm, Rabbi Lew escorted by his wife and their children, children-in-law and grandchildren (close to 120 men, women and children ka”h) converged on the Ohel.

At the Ohel, they said tehilim, sang a few nigunnim, recited the 12 pesukim and gave tzedaka. Rabbi and Mrs. Lew celebrated their daughter’s wedding on Wednesday night in Crown Heights.
