YNS Chabad of Tzfas Ordains Its First Rabbis

ISRAEL [CHI] — Emotions were running high when the bochurim from Rabbi ‘O’s passed their Smicha test from HaRav Yitzchok Yehuda Yaroslavski, Chief Rabbi of Nachalos Har Chabad.

With tears trickling down Rabbi Orimland face one was able to feel the true happiness from him for the bochurim who have made great strides in their lives. These bochurim have been working on this goal that at times did not think that they would actually be able to pull through with it. However, after many ups and downs and downs and ups these bochurim came forth with solid preparation for their final Smicha testing. Rabbi ‘O’ was so impressed with their determination and their commitment to their goal.

Mazel Tov to Habochur Hatomim HaRav Avrohom Meir Roetter and to Habochur Hatomim HaRav Yosef Yitzchok Simpson for passing their final test for Smicha on Hilchos Shabbos and for becoming the first ordained Rabbis at YNS! At the same time Habochur Hatomim Shloime Litvin also passed his test on Hilchos Shabbos and has only Basar V’cholov left to do.

Rabbi ‘O’ gives all the credit to Reb Avigdor Landesman and to HaRav Yosef Yitzchok Nesanel Gafni for preparing the bochurim and for believing in them. A tremendous yasher koach to HaRav Shlomo Yager for constantly reviewing the material with the bochurim and who has helped make this a reality.

    what Rabbi ‘O’ has accomplishd with the boys, no other place got close!!!! to see how some of O’s boys come out, is shockingly great!

    when some ppl think a boy has no chance, rabbi ‘O’ and his staff show the world (and the student) “yes he does, now just watch what this boy can do” and most times the student himself never believed he was able to do it!

    Rabbi ‘o’ and staff keep it up!

    I can only thank HaShem for allowing me a small measure of participation in this significant day of beginnings for the YNS mishpocha. It seems to me you have a spiritual kibbutz at YNS where you gently –or vigorously, depending on what is needed– work diligently to grow the most beautiful “esrogim” which are destined from their planting to be used for the making of mitzvos and brochas. Of course only HaShem makes the sun to shine and the rain to rain on your plantlings but you have planted the seeds with emuna, kavanah, and above all emes. Yosher Koach!
