Tzeirai Hashluchim Remember their Counselor

Yesterday, the 10th of Adar, marked the tenth Yohrtzeit of Hatomim Sholomo Sholom Brashevitzky OBM, who was taken from us during his tenure as a counselor in Yeshivas Tzeirai Hashluchim in a terrible accident.

In honor of his passing students went to the cemetery in Tzfat and visited his grave.

After reciting Tehillim the Shliach Rabbi Chaim Kaplan reciting Kadish in his memory, and said that the memory of their counselor in forever embedded in the hearts and minds of the Hanholo and the Talmidim.

“The Rebbe teaches us that “vehachai yiten el libo” — “the living shall take to heart” said Rabbi Atzraf to the students “and we have a lot to learn from Sholom.”

“Sholom Barshevitsky was an example and role model to the students in the Yeshiva” said Rabbi Sholom Dovber Hertzel the Rosh Yeshiva “a large number of students that today are all over world mark this day in longing. Sholom was a counselor that was loved by the students in the Yeshiva, he took care of them as if they were his brothers in both their spiritual needs as well as their physical needs, without boundaries, and they saw in him an example of a Chassidishe Bochur.”

Every year, on the day of his Yohrtzeit, the students and staff visit his Kever, and hold a Farbrengen in his memory.
