Yud Shevat at Rabbi O’s – YNS Tzfas

The mivtza for Yud Shevat was announced by the shluchim a month before Yud Shevat. The mivtza consisted of brochos before chassidus, chitas, seder sichos twice a week, history of the Rebbeim and a daily quiz on that days chumash. The bochurim were eligible to win weekly trips such as jeeping, dinner at a chinese restaurant, ice skating and bowling and a two night three day stay at Hotel Lavi with the shluchim. The grand raffle of the mivtza was a laptop and each bochur who successfully entered this raffle was also given 150 shekels. To gain entry into the grand raffle bochurim were tested on Basi Legani 5711. Mazel tov to Habochur Hatomim Yosef Yitzchok Simpson upon winning the laptop!

The Shabbos before Yud Shevat the bochurim were treated to a Shabbaton at Hotel Lavi. The theme of the Shabbos was Hiskashrus of being connected to the Rebbe. The energy of the Shabbaton carried on into the Yud Shevat farbrengen where Habochur Hatomim Avi Horwitz and Habochur Hatomim Yedidya Rittri said over the Ma’amer of Basi Legani.

The yeshiva was honored with a special guest, Rabbi Dovid Goldstein, who is still from the time of the Frierdiker Rebbe, and told over many inspiring stories of the Frierdiker Rebbe and the Rebbe that he himself personally witnessed and experienced.

Rabbi Orimland, Rosh Yeshiva, delved on being better connected to the Rebbe and following the Rebbe’s instructions on how to live like a chossid. Rabbi ‘O’ continued that the Rebbe’s brochos are shining onto us and onto the world and all that we have to do is open the shades by learning more chassidus, doing more mitzvos and coming to the realization that Ein Od Milvado!

The farbrengen finished at 5 a.m. with many bochurim making hachlotos.
A yasher koach to all the bochurim of the yeshiva for all of their hard earned work in the mivtza and for proving to themselves that when there is a will there is a way! Many thanks to the incredible Shluchim: Shlomo Yager, Chaim Simon, Dovid Greenberg, Levi Ainsworth, Zalmi Orimland and Vaadi Albukerk on an amazing and truly awesome mivtza.
