Jumbotrons at Parade 5770!
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — For the first time ever, technology used by major sporting and entertainment groups will be used outside 770!
With this year’s Lag B’Omer Parade promising to attract thousands of participants, event organizers have confirmed they will be using hi-tech LED screens, commonly referred to as ‘jumbotrons’, to enable all participants to view the video presentations in broad daylight.
The screens are being provided by Porta Vision, who themselves are no strangers to large events. Their state of the art screens recently graced the “Hope for Haiti” concert, which attracted millions of viewers. The parade will mark the first time video presentations have been made outside 770 during the daytime.
The screens have already made a positive impact, with the CEO of Porta Vision putting on Tefillin for the first time during a recent meeting with N.C.F.J.E and Tzivos Hashem officials.

“For the first time ever, technology used by major sporting and entertainment groups will be used outside 770!”
Not exactly.
Maybe it’s the first time this particular technology is being used but it’s definitely not the first time that “technology used by major sporting and entertainment groups will be used outside 770.” In fact, it’s not even the first time giant screens are being used…
impressed
Screens that can be seen in broad daylight?
