Cheder Yaldei Hashluchim Yonkers trip to Crown Heights

For the students of Cheder Yaldey Hashluchim Yonkers, Hei Teves wasn’t just a day of seforim they learned about in theory. The school, which is comprised of the children of Shluchim from Westchester County and the Connecticut area, traveled to Crown Heights to celebrate Hei Teves.

The boys and girls spent over an hour browsing the thousands of books in Kehos, conducting heated discussion with each other over which was the very best book to purchase for their growing seforim collections.

The children were inspired by the words of R’ Yisroel Shemtov who spoke to them about the impact of the day, and encouraged them to take the power of the day and use it to increase their Ahavas Yisroel for one another. The farbrengen was followed by singing joyful niggunim accompanied by guitar playing.

The climax of the trip was for the Rebbe’s children to go inside the Rebbe’s room and say a kapital or two of tehillim followed by mincha.
