Pupils of Mechina Le’Yeshiva Tested by Horav Hager Shlita
LONDON, England [CHI] — Once again Harav Yisroel Hager Shlita, son of the Viznitzer Rebbe Shlita, was impressed with the Bochurim of the Mechina, Lubavitch, London.
Several Minyonim of young students had learnt complete Mesectos of Gemara by-heart, Rabbi Yisroel Shlita tested them on the third Perek of Kesubos, Ailu Naaoros, and then farbrenged with them.
For the past few years the “Mechina” has relocated for the last week of Tammuz to the Chabad Retreat Centre, owned by the Jaffe Family of Manchester, in Llandudno, Wales, where they continue to learn and Daven among the mountains and sea air.
There is no better place for the Lubavitcher Students, who are devoted to Torah and Chassidus something that is very close to the heart of Rabbi Yisroel Shlita, than this isolated place where there are no Gashmiyus disturbances, time to devote to Ruchniyos. This is the perfect place to be in the summer, to strengthen the body and soul.
Rabbi Yisroel Shlita participated in Davening three times a day and part of “Seder” especially during Chassidus between Mincha and Maariv. For Shabbos the Bochurim went to Rabbi Yisroel Shlita’s home where there was a Mikveh (as opposed to the sea, due to Halachic restraints).
After Davening at the Kiddush Farbrengen, Rabbi Levi Paris, the Mashpia, was asked to relate some stories about the Rebbe, which was well received by all present. Again just before Shabbos finished Rabbi Levi was asked again to recite a Maamar.
Also present was Rabbi Shimon Hirschler Shlita, Maggid Shuir Daf Hayomi Shuir in Viznitz, London. He was also very impressed with the level of learning and Yiras Shomayim of the Bochurim and remarked how these Bochurim reminds him of those from years gone by.
Many thanks to the Mechanchim of the Mechina HRHT Reb Moshe Zavdi who organized the whole trip with a lot of dedication, and to HRHT Reb Levi Paris for giving Shiurim, supervision of Seder, Farbrengens etc. and to the Menahel HRHT Rabbi Aharon Tiefenbrun.
