End of the Year Festivals at YNS Chabad
TZFAT, Israel [CHI] — Following the testing of the Smicha boys in Melicha all the bochurim of the yeshiva were invited to the home of the Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Orimland where Rabbi ‘O’ prepared his famous schwarma b-b-q!
On top of this when the bochurim came to Rabbi ‘O’s this past Friday before Shabbos (as they came for almost every Friday night of the year) they were treated to a surprise mini b-b-q consisting of hot dogs, kebobs and watermelon.
Presentations were made to the Shluchim. Rabbi ‘O’ thanked the Shluchim for an awesome job and for their tremendous impact they had on the bochurim, each shliach in his own style and with their expertise were able to bring out the best in each and every bochur.
The Shluchim told the bochurim how they have a lot to learn from them. The bochurim accomplished things by pushing and inspiring each other. They proved to themselves that anything they set their mind to do they were able to accomplish.
Yasher Koach to Hatomim Yehuda Leib Feinstein and to Hatomim Menachem Mendel Hahn for being the most improved bochurim of the year. A special presentation of Hakoras Hatov was made to Hatomim Eli Marks for always being there when needed.
Hatomim Meir Roetter expressed his love towards the yeshiva and to Rabbi ‘O’ saying that here we are able to speak to the Rabbi about anything and everything and work things out together and that is why we are all able to accomplish what we do.
During the farbrengen on Shabbos Rabbi ‘O’ shared with the bochurim his experience of Gimmel Tamuz and the importance of constantly bringing nachas to the Rebbe no matter what, where and when.
A bochur anonymously wrote in the shluchims weekly newsletter the following: When I first arrived at ‘O’s I was an annoying little kid burning bridges left and right but through working on myself and with the dedication of the staff I have become an annoying big kid building a future. Until arriving here I had never been at a yeshiva like ‘O’s or had a Rosh like Rabbi ‘O’. Issues of mine which other yeshivas made mountains out of were not only shown to me as molehills but I was taught that with a well placed kick or two molehills are destroyed. The kindness of Rabbi Rottenberg showed me a whole new way to communicate and teach which I hope to use iy”h one day with my children. Reb Avigdor’s dedication to he Smicha boys continuously shows me there is no such thing as a lost cause. Doc’s smile and comforting word has always helped me out of the deepest pits and Rabbi W’s patience still never ceases to amaze me. While Rabbi ‘O’ has yelled at me MANY times I have seldom left his office angry because he never forgets to acknowledge my development or show me how his words are meant to be constructive criticism. For these things and more I will always be grateful to have found a yeshiva like YNS and a Hanhala like this. May the spiritual growth of the students and the infinite giving of themselves by the staff be rewarded with the crushing of the only real mountain and the coming of Moshiach Bimheira Biyameinu Mamosh. Amen!

Once again i would like to thank you for a great year and for the many lessons learnt. You guys taught me things i will be using for the rest of my life (cleaning up on the Friday nights-my wife will thank you for that one). The guys at Rabbi O’s are the best theyve also taught me a lot- keep up the good work. May they have all the best from G-d ALmighty storehouse.
