Rabbi Brod’s personal letter to Shluchim and how to find out how he may be able to help your Chabad House or Center out of the financial troubles you are facing.
RABBI YISROEL BROD’S PERSONAL LETTER TO SHLUCHIM:
ב“ה
אייר תשס”ט
To my dear fellow Shliach:You may be feeling the crunch of the international financial crisis by having lost one or more of your major donors for this year’s Annual Campaign. Or you may even be under serious financial stress, as are so many prominent businesses and banks, even to the extent of ח“ו being on the verge of “bankruptcy”.
You may be in the middle of a Capital Campaign and find yourself “stuck” and unsure as to how to deal with your Annual Campaign at the same time as advancing your Capital Campaign.
You may have come to the realization that you must implement “cuts” in your budget, even “painful cuts”, but you are not sure how to go about it or where to begin without your employees resenting it.
You may be maxed out on all your credit cards, unable to make your monthly payments, and you may not be sure how to go about dealing with the creditors who are threatening and making your life miserable.
You may have the IRS or other local tax liens against you and your property. As your fines, penalty and interest may be growing day by day, you may have no idea how to approach the matter.
You may also have no idea how to go about telling your close Baalai Batim or your Board Members the extent of your monetary troubles. Perhaps you are afraid of revealing to them the full truth of your current financial situation: mortgages, bank loans, personal loans, credit cards, taxes, long overdue accounts payables, unpaid salaries etc.
In short, you may feel lost and have no direction how to continue and make ends meet.
All of the above scenarios have happened in real life, they are ALL scenarios which I have dealt with over many years. I have been dealing with some of the more dramatic situations described above in the past ten months, and I would be naïve to think that the worst is behind us.
The reason I am being so blatant, painting such a gray, desperate picture is because, over and over again, I have seen the results of focus and direction on these painful realities. Indeed, I have successfully worked בע”ה to rectify these situations in many places across the globe. To ignore the reality is even worse than any serious situation. The beginning of all cures is the recognition of the challenge that lies ahead, and the willingness to tackle it.
Even in these trying times you can create a stable and secure financial base of donors and thus guarantee the future of your מוסד.
In light of the global economic crisis, I have made an active decision to take real action to help Shluchim during these troubling times.
Here are the changes and additions I have decided to implement in order to be able to help בע“ה more Shluchim in a way that you will truly be able to benefit from my willingness to assist you:
· The standard fee has been dropped.
· I will be travelling abroad more frequently.
· Your only immediate expense will be the travel expenses.
· You will be able to pay on results-based realization.
· I will be willing to actually join you to solicit Baalai Batim.
· I will work with you regularly to see you through to your success.
The above benefits will only be available from now until the end of תשס”ט. If you want to take advantage of this offer, please send me an email at Yisroel@yisroelbrod.com
I will work on a first-come first-serve basis, taking other crucial factors into consideration.
Always at your service,
Yisroel Halevi Brod
P.S. If you are a Head Shliach you may consider a full Fundraising Seminar with monthly follow-ups for a group of Shluchim, to help them implement the system which they will learn at the Seminar. This has proven to be effective and productive and yields very positive results. Special financial arraignments can be worked out so there is no heavy burden on your behalf.
