New Sefer Torah in Memory of Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg HYD

“Our community will soon celebrate a new arrival – the first Sefer Torah for Chabad of Downtown Vancouver. It will be dedicated in the memory of Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg.

A welcome ceremony is planned, G-d willing, for this coming spring, Sunday, June 28, 2009.

In our efforts to elicit support for this special project, we have contacted members of Vancouver’s Jewish community as well as friends and supporters from around the world. Many have responded by sponsoring a portion in the Torah. Thank G-d; to date we are approaching the half way point of the funds needed for this project.
