The ceremony was organised by the Yeshiva Centre, NSW Chabad Headquarters. Rabbi Pinchus Feldman OAM, Head of the Chabad Movement in NSW, led the crowd in prayer and Chasidic melodies and gave an inspirational address on the significance of the ceremony. The focus of the service was to thank G-d for re-enacting the works of creation.

Commenting on the massive turnout which reflected the diversity of Sydney’s Jewish community and included hundreds of children, Rabbi Feldman said, “This unique ritual has connected members of our community in remembering the Divine miracles of daily existence.”

The crowd left the event uplifted and went home to prepare for Pesach.
