  • if The Besh t held a Goat in his arms

This is further proof of the Rebbe’s Gadlus!

  • not really

if he would have the most power in lubavitch, he would definetely be what they write..
but r’ yudel has zero power..
    avraham/levi shemtov, kotlarsky, gutnick, …
not really, but a kiddush lubavitch anyways

  • krinsky?

doesnt have any influnce, shemtov and kotlarsky do.
thats the way i see it

  • equality first

    who has power?
the only person that has power is the Rebbe,
under that everyone is about equal-
kotlarsky shemtov and krinsky are all the same thing!!
but for the world, to them it seems he does
    which is ok for them,
but “mir zaynen dem rebbins kinder”

  • ...

Wasn’t he #2 a couple of year ago? With the economic turmoil everyone seems to be falling lower on these lists ;)

I would certainly agree that Rabbi Dovid mendelbaum has more influance than Rabbbi Krinski.

  • yoshev rosh

avremel is by far more influential, inside lubavitch as well as by the world at large

  • a thought to ponder

    a thought to ponder

if chabd lubavitch is such a great and powerfull force in the world why is there only one lubavitcher on the list

(some might count shmuley boteach ) but i mean official ones

The world saw true leadership in Rabbi Krinsky after the Mumbai massacre.

His demeanor on the international tv scene was very malcchusdi and befitting for Lubavitch and the Rebbe. The world saw that and was very impressed.

I guess the Rebbe knew who he was choosing when he chose him for all the positions he put him (sorry, commenters commenting above, who seem to think differently).

  • Chana Sarah

Your picture of Rabbi Krinsky at the Mumbai press conference says it all!

He portrayed Lubavitch as strong, fearless, committed, dignified and responsible.

This is the face of Lubavitch and of representing the Rebbe and his leadership. This is what Newsweek means.

Lubavitch carries Yudel Krinsky. And not Yudel Krinsky carries Lubavitch. Basically the more Lubavitch grows the more important Yudel Krinsky thinks he is. But does he carry much say inside Lubavitch itself?? Can he tell the shluchim what to do and what not to do?? Do the shluchim have to listen to his opinion?? Do Lubavitchers in Crown Heights have to listen to him?? Does Crown Heights ask his opinion on matters of Crown Heights? Can someone please explain what exactly makes him a powerhouse inside of Lubavitch??

  • Moshe Leib

Looks like the chazal knew what they were saying when they said “Kol Haboreiach…” – whoever runs from kovod, the kovod runs after him. And furthermore: whoever chases after kovod, the kovod escapes from him.

    V’dal and clear as day.

  • A Shliach

It’s not Krinsky, peoples – it’s Lubavitch. His name is there because he’s the spokesman, especially after Mumbai. You think the guys who compile these lists actually pay attention to details??? They’re paid flunkies!

  • Yosef Tzvi

    How ridiculous, all these comments!

It’s the Rebbe, not his chasidim that’s being honored here.

Of course its rabbi Krinsky they pin it on, he represented the Rebbe to the world for more than forty years, and still does, tzu langer gezunter yahren.

So stop the nonsense, and be happy that the Lubavitch is being honored despite what the m’s have done to it.

    Lchaim! Lchaim Ulevracho!

  • The Rebbe Made Us All Leaders

What was so “strong and fearless” about him during the Mumbai aftermath. He was up there blubbering his head off (just like all of us at home). You call this guy a leader?

  • asdf

    To Shmuel:

Are you kidding, he was horrible, his wording and presentation were horrible, he couldn’t mutter a proper word that depicted his “Leadership”, the Rebbe didn’t pick him, it’s a farce, until I see “Signed” authentic letters placing him in charge, he doesn’t get my vote.

  • crown heighters!

say whatever you want but dont say that he is the next Rebbe!!
your not a lubavitcher if you say there is someone else than the Rebbe!!!!!!!!!!!
the Rebbe is our King!!! and no one else!
the Rebbe could have helpers but dont confuse them with the King!
    happy pesach

    First off…

    your title should have stated
Rabbi Krinsky, Fourth Most Influential Rabbi
Instead of:Yehuda Krinsky Fourth Most Influential Rabbi

A little respect on your site please.

  • moshe

to asdf: Until I don’t see a letter from your shrink that you can tie your shoes, stop writing and posting.

  • Akiva

Why DID the Rebbe choose people like rabbis Hodakov Mindel and Krinsky?

Should’ve checked first with Crownheights.info readers.

    What a shame.

  • bracha

Here we go again, every time krinsky is mentioned there has to be some wiseguys to open their mouths and say something negative.

  • Shliach

Its amazing how much hatred and sarcasm is senced here and on Yud Alef Nissan noch….

  • koolchossid

imho Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky is the most influential Rabbi in the world

  • Shlomo

Somebody wrote above the Shemtovs. the washington dc son has less power because the Obama staff knows he is a Republican and was big time for Bush and McCain. He hurt himself very much in the last 8 years. Reform and Modern Orthodox do better by Obama now.
