    So depressing. Why do all the post Gimmel Tamuz “nigunim” sound the same. These nigunim don’t have the same drive as “Horiu Lelokim”, “Veyedu”, “Vekarnai”, “Moginenu”…

    every year the rebbe becomes 1 year older, this year the rebbe becomes 107, corresponding to the tehillim 108. if you look at a tehillim, chapter 108, you will see the words of this song which is not as much the song as the words it says. its just a tune for the words of the rebbes kapitel.
    AND TO YOSSI:
    i dont know who you are, and i dont know if you are chabad and if you have experience of how this works. yechi isnt in any tehillim of all the 150 chapters. it is only added to all the songs of the rebbes kapitel as in to say ‘long live the rebbe melech hamoshiach forever and ever’

    CI is absolutely correct – they all sound the same winy, lack-luster, chanting type. Where the soul, people??

    SO MAKE YOUR OWN!
    The composers are human beings just like you are! (I suppose you’re human since you past the CAPCHA)
    THEY made the songs the way THEY like it, and YOU should make a song the way YOU like it!
    If the Vaad likes your song, that will be the new song!
    If not, not.
    By you not submitting that ‘top-notch’ song, there’s no chance they will read your mind!!!
    And if you can’t compose a song, then they’re better than you, and there’s nothing what to complain about!

    Oh I see, “common sence,” the soul and chayus etc. is reserved for the comments; they are truly full of soul!
    But really, if you use some common “sense” instead, then you’ll notice that this is the “Leave comment” section – not the “Leave Praise” section. In other words, if someone is bothered or bored enough to comment, praise, criticize, or condemn, then they are welcome to do so. If we were all to comment “how wonderful” all the time, then our comments would be as bland as the battery-farm nigunim they keep churning out, wouldn’t they?
    But you are right, it is really mean to pass a negative comment after someone has worked hard at expressing their soul in song in honor of the Rebbe. I’ll try harder next time, “common sence,” though I might not be singing to an entirely different tune…

    To all of you who even spend their time reading and leaving comments on this website;
    why do u even bother?who is going to read these comments anyways? they are best left unsaid because frankly no one cares what you have to say, end of discussion! sorry i have no sympathy, but if i may be so bold, you have to much time on your hands if you are arguing amongst each other about the sophistication of the niggun. as someone said if you dont like it, you dont have to sing it!!!and if you dont say yechi dont say it, but there is no reason why you have to announce to the cyber world what you do behind the closed doors of your house.
