TZFAT, Israel [CHI] — The successful Yud Shevat Mivtza was announced by the Shluchim four weeks prior to Yud Shevat. The Mivtza consisted of being Makpid on Brachos before Chassidus and Krias Shema Al HaMita, full daily Chitas & quiz, Seder Sichos twice a week, Pirush Hamilos and tests on the weekly learned Gemora & Chassidus. By completing the above mentioned the bochurim would be eligible for the weekly trips. At the conclusion of the Mivtza those Bochurim who excelled with a perfect score for all four weeks were treated to an amazing skiing trip on Mount Chermon. The grand raffle of the Mivtza was a laptop. In order to be entered into this special raffle the Bochurim had to learn the Ma’amer of Basi Legani 5711 by heart. Mazel Tov to Habochur Hatomim Shmuly Bonnardel upon winning the grand raffle!

The last week of the Mivtza Rabbi Orimland, Rosh HaYeshiva flew to New York for the engagement of his son Moishe. Despite the saying that “when the cat is away the mice play” the Bochurim continued with their Hachonos with full of zest and excitement.

There was a large Yud Shevat Farbrengen with the Mashpia Rabbi Wilschanski, the head of the Smicha program Rabbi Gafni and Rabbi Landesman. The Basi Legani 5711 Ma’amer was said over by the Farbrengen by Habochur Hatomim Yossi Simpson, Habochur Hatomim Mendy Cohen and Habochur Hatomim Meir Roetter. Rabbi Landesman told over many stories bringing out the point how one has the Koach to overcome their obstacles. The Farbrengen lasted until 5am.

Upon Rabbi ‘O’s return from New York there was a large Farbrengen in which many Bochurim made Siyumim. Mazel Tov to Habochur Hatomim Eli Marks and Habochur Hatomim Menachem Olensky upon finishing Gemora Mesachta Rosh Hashana. Also a big Yasher Koach to Habochur Hatomim Shloime Litvin and Habochur Hatomim Meir Roetter on their siyum on Mishnayos Seder Moed and Habochur Hatomim Mendy Cohen on his siyum on Mishnayos Seder Nizikin. These Bochurim took upon themselves to learn a Seder Mishanyos L’Zeicher Nishmas the Shliach Reb Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivkie who perished in the Mumbai terror attack.

A big Yasher Koach to all the Kochurim in the Yeshiva for all their hard work in the Mivtza and for proving to themselves how much they could accomplish and to the outstanding Shluchim: Yisroel Rosenzweig, Dovid Hassan, Shmuly Rappaport and Zacci Witkes for their outstanding organization and commitment to the success of this Mivtza.
