Meorot Chabad Volunteer in Israeli Army

JERUSALEM, Israel [CHI] — Last week Meorot Chabad arranged for it’s students a week off to volunteer on an Israeli army base, “Tze’eilim” in the south.

The students all wore uniforms in the week’s experience.

Throughout the week, students had the chance of ‘living the life’ of a non-combat soldier.

A days work included waking up early for Shachris and working in the many different warehouses on the base as well as eating and sleeping with the soldiers.

One evening the all Rabbis came to visit the students to see their accomplishments on the base.

On Tuesday night, the students were given a tour of the mobile artillery units.

At the end of the exhausting week, the soldiers thanked everyone for their hard work.
