PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL [WFLX] — A truly one-of-a-kind menorah in Palm Beach Gardens. Some in the Jewish community kicked off the first night of Hanukah with a deli-made all salami Menorah. Fox 29's Ashley Glass reports.
Take a guess. How many slices of salami does it take to create this, the world's first deli-made Menorah. “130” “150” “It's big.”
The World’s Largest Salami Menorah
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL [WFLX] — A truly one-of-a-kind menorah in Palm Beach Gardens. Some in the Jewish community kicked off the first night of Hanukah with a deli-made all salami Menorah. Fox 29’s Ashley Glass reports.

Well it takes so many Rabbi Ezagui with David’s Eastside Deli doesn’t know. And he helped make it. “It’s the one and only and we have it right here in Palm Beach Gardens.”
This is how the Deli is helping everyone celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. And the crowd of a few hundred is impressed. “It’s the most creative menorah light I have ever heard of.” “Very cool. I love salami.”
Besides putting on a show, David’s Deli helps people all year with profits from their food sales. “Every penny stays right here in the community. It goes to kids in need and older people who can’t make their own food.” Rabbi Ezagui is hoping others follow the lead of food, music, fellowship, and service all year. “Whatever people can do to help others. We have to help others.”
That was Ashley Glass reporting. So what happened to all that meat? Rabbi Ezagui tells us they thought about letting everyone taste it at the end but then figured that might not be a good idea. It did have to sit out for a while.
Shame - to throw away food
What a waste! sorry don’t like the idea

“they thought about letting everyone taste it at the end but then figured that might not be a good idea.”
Don’t be so sure after Madoff got through some of his ex investors probably could use it.
One Mitzva cancels another?
Why go to the effort of being so unique if it involves an aveirah – ba’al tashchis?
Certainly, Rabbi E. could’ve used his creative talents to think of another idea in which his Menorah would be one of a kind w/o so much waste.
Boruch Hashem there was Persumei Nisa.
A frailachen Chanuka!
hgg
think its a waist but its cool
Yummy
This thing got tens of thousands of dollars of media coverage for Chanuka (it even got into the New York post!).
I think it was worth every slice of salami:)
Great Job!!!!
Where it-s TRULY going..!
It happens to be, that all the food will be given to charity after the event. and this store (=David’s East Side Deli) is a huge baal tzedakah that feeds the hungry every day FREE of charge!

Kop Doktar
Salami, feh! Why not a cholent menorah? Or, maybe a kugel menorah? Make a menorah from something with a yiddishe ta’am – like shmaltz herring, or knishes, but salami – feh, feh feh.
Under a hot Florida sun, after a few hours it would be a menorah covered in flies! Imagine the smell of rotting salami! I guess this one wasn’t thought through very carefully!
I wonder if the Rebbe would be proud???
proud to be Lubavitch!
LOL-only LUBAVITCH!!!
Amazing!!!!
Jewish Guy
Salami is just as jewish as knishes…
