Clarification Regarding Chabad Mumbai Relief Efforts

In response to inquiries about the fund established in the aftermath of the Mumbai terror attack: Lubavitch Headquarters in conjunction with the Holtzberg/Rosenberg families, have set up the Chabad Mumbai Relief Fund to assist in the care of the children of Rabbi Gavriel Noach and Rivka Holtzberg, may G-d avenge their blood, and/or the rebuilding of the Mumbai Chabad House.

Overseeing the administration of the relief fund is an international committee consisting of Mr. Eduardo Elsztain, Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Rabbi Berel Lazar, Mr. George Rohr and Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg.

    Does this mean that any money given to Lubavitch funds at 770 before this fund was set up will be turned over to this fund?

  • All checks sent for the relief

    you should send a copy of the check to atleast 2 other peaple in the commitee so the money shouldn’t be just deposited in the wrong account as in previous cases

    I would just wait for Rabbi Holtzberg to get back to NY and hand HIM a check.
