Loved every minute
Dinners, by definition, are boring. This one was anything but. It was well planned, beautifully executed, classy, heart-rending, inspiring. Put the NCFJE Dinner on your calendar for next year because knowing them, it will top even this and you won’t want to miss it. (PS–nobody asked me or paid me to write this…I was just fortunate enough to have been there.) Yasher Koach to the Hechts and all their dedicated workers and supporters for the incredible tribute to the life and family of Liviu Librescu, a true Jewish hero.
pleasantly surprised
I second the compliment. I usually hate dinners. This one was rich and deep (OK so they could have toned down the $ solicitation towards the end. I made believe it was like the breaking of the glass – zecher lichurban)
BGump

This organization does it right- they work incredibly hard, use their donations wisely, honor deserving recipients (the widow, son, and former students of Dr. Liviu Librescu were there this year among others), and most importantly care for thousands of people who need their help.
The National Committee leads by example and we are all fortunate to have them in our lives.
Mazel-tov on another wonderful dinner showcasing your outstanding work!
