Thanks to the efforts of our capable committee, we are pleased to announce that the program for Sunday's all-day Lay Leadership Conference is full, morning to evening, with dynamic speakers who will address an array of topics that will intrigue Baal HaBatim from around the world. The schedule includes Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Rabbi Manis Friedman, Rabbi Asher Crispe, Rabbi Dov Greenberg, Rabbi Dovid Eliezrie, Mr. Michael Gerber and Rabbi Shimon Freundlich.

Held, once again, in the elegant Marriott Marquis Times Square, our inspiring roster will, bez"h, move and excite our key audience. Equally important, the program includes time for networking and socializing.

CTEEN – Unveiling the New Chabad Teen Network

In an important session for Shluchim with activities for teenagers on Thursday, the staff of CTEEN, the new Chabad Teen Network will provide an overview of their program. CTEEN provides two full-service tracks: one for Shluchim that work with teens full-time and one for Shluchim that dedicate part of their time to teenagers and young adults. CTEEN provides a complete package of ideas and for program development, learning curriculum, a full-color magazine, a customizable website and support of a community of fellow Shluchim.

The Balancing Act

We are pleased to be offering several workshops that will provide tips and solutions on balancing family and Shlichus obligations. This will include specialized, groundbreaking workshops for Shluchim facing particular issues.

For Shluchim that need to send their children away from home for Chinuch, a panel of Shluchim will share valuable advice on helping children transition to being on their own. Another round-table discussion will focus on solutions for the practical, as well as Ruchnius’dike challenges of raising a child with special needs on Shlichus. A session geared for Shluchim working with their parents, will explore the advantages and challenges of working in an organization they grew up with.

Guidance for Those That Guide: Program for Mechanchim

We are pleased once against to provide a full series of workshops for Mechanchim. The workshops will include an exploration of the Rebbe’s writings and teachings to discover profound yet practical gems of advice on Chinuch as well as a special session with Dr. Shlomo Schuk. Dr. Shuck, a renowned psychologist and professor will present his comprehensive classroom program that has helped educators across the country maintain classroom discipline and communicate effectively with their students.

Facebook and Shlichus: New Tools for a New World

The advent of Facebook and other online social networks has opened new vistas in connecting to new friends. As the average age of users continues to rise, these can be tremendously effective tools for a Shliach to reach out to and keep track of the interests of those that live and work around them. On Friday, a workshop entitled Facing the World on Facebook will provide important tips on using these networks effectively and successfully, keeping your site Kosher and protecting your network from infiltration.
