Rabbi M. Bryski – Kinus Keynote
Rabbi Moshe Bryski, executive director of Chabad of the Conejo in Agoura Hills, CA, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s International Kinus Hashluchim.
The keynote address at the gala banquet concludes the annual Chabad emissary convention, and is considered the most desired internal speaking venue for a Chabad outreach Shliach.
A committee of Shluchim, nominated to plan the Kinus, narrows down the candidates to two and holds a vote. A source within Merkaz L’Inyonei Chinuch – organizers of the Kinus – refused to reveal the exact voting scale.
Bryski, who oversaw the development of 5 Chabad Houses in his area, has been a Shliach for some 24 years with his wife Matty and their eight children.
Raised in Brooklyn, NY, Bryski once said in an interview that his education consisted of two years at the Rabbinical College of Greater New England near Boston and the Rabbinical College of Montreal, Canada, where he was later ordained a rabbi.
Chabad of the Conejo offers several programs, and Bryski emphasizes the excellence of the adult education program. He said once that about 3,000 students participate annually in the workshops and special studies.
“This year the Kinus will feature an array of qualified speakers and Shluchim from various locations,” a Merkaz official said.
The Thursday night session will feature a speech by Rabbi Shmuel Lew, Shliach and educator in London, who will relate personal stories and anecdotes with the Rebbe.
Migdal Haemek Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yitzchak Goldberg will adress the Shabbos night meal, while Argentinian Head Shliach Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt will speak about Hakhel in the central session on Motzoei Shabbos.
