Shluchim Office organized a fabulous gathering for Tzi’erei Hashluchim
RISHON LETZION, Israel [CHI] — 300 children participated this afternoon in a fun filled get together organized by the Tzi’irim BeShlichut website run by the New York office of the shluchim under the management of Rabbi Gedalya Shemtov. The children, who are children of the shluchim from all over the world, are currently enjoying their holiday in Israel.
The event was divided into 2 parts. The first part consisted of fun filled attractions, included inflatables, paddle boats and creative bonding. The second part was a dinner around tables with the parents and family.
During the dinner the master of ceremonies, Rabbi Aryeh Ze’ev Lipsker, one of the shluchim on the west side of Rishon LeTzion, called on the representative of Beit Sefer Net (the online school for children of the shluchim), the young Shlicha, Mushkie Trebnik from Germany to express the appreciation and gratitude in the name of the students of Beit Sefer Net. The head of the Jewish Organization in the Soviet Union, Rabbi Avraham Berkowitz, expressed their gratitude on behalf of the shluchim all over the world, and a heartfelt thanks to the head of the shluchim’s office in New York, Rabbi Gedalya Shemtov, who arranges the wonderful activities throughout the year for the Shluchim’s children.
During the dinner, the children received certificates from the Beit Sefer Net teachers as a token of their good behavior during the year in the “walls” of the virtual school. For the children who were unable to be in Israel, a special program was dedicated to them and they were able to participate in the event through a computer program that allowed them to see the event live.
