Nice to see that people are using macs, to me that shows that many Shluchim are extra smart, and all the other Shluchim are smart.

Why are there so many pictures with Shluchim with laptops? Shouldn’t they be learning in their spare time?….
seriously now
Dear David: They’re too busy reading Crown Heights Info on their laptops….
mendy
@David: who says they have spare time, and besides you can learn on a laptop.
@Apple.: You define extra smart by someone who uses a mac, but for many shluchim using a mac is not a smart decision at all.

1. most people cant sit for more than 15 minutes after they leave Yeshiva, some even when they still are in Yeshiva.
2.their all on their laptops because they get free wi-fi in the hotel loby

@mendy, I was curious why you said using mac is not a smart decision?
I was a little disappointed that I did not see Rabbi Korf’s picture here. I know he was there

@lewis brinin: some shluchim have consulted with me regard their IT acquisitions, and in some situations, specifically if the shliach is in major debt, a PC offers a more economically viable option.
However, i am of the opinion that in the long term, a mac is a worthwhile investment and has a lower “cost of ownership”. I have guided quite a number of shluchim in the acquisition of macs.
What seems to be a real issue with macs is the lack of support for hebrew in office for mac, which necessitates running the windows version.
