Yaldei Hashluchim Worldwide Enjoy Global Online Lag Ba’Omer Rally
BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — Hundreds of sons and daughters of shluchim the world over were virtually united this past Friday, as the Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim Online School, a division of The Shluchim Office, staged a massive online rally to mark the joyous holiday of Lag B’omer.
Logging on to the CYH website, the children were able to participate from the comfort of their homes or Chabad House as the live online rally unfolded.
The exciting virtual rally opened with a video clip of the Rebbe at the 1980 Lag B’Omer Parade in Crown Heights. An inspiring recitation of the Twelve Pesukim followed, with kids across the world, including London, Guatemala City, Caracas and South Carolina joined spiritual forces to create a palpable feeling of achdus.
That feeling reached a peak as all participants joined in crying out “Ad mosai!”, asking Hashem to “bring Moshiach now!”
The event closed out with a thrilling Lag B’Omer trivia game which tested the young rally-goers’ knowledge of basic Lag B’Omer facts.
The Yaldei Hashluchim Department is sponsored in memory of Rabbi Mendel Shemtov by Mrs. Sara Shemtov and Rabbi and Mrs. Kasriel Shemtov.
