BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — The Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim’s Shluchim Online School, one of the hottest developments in the world of Shlichus in recent years, has taken it to the next level with two new initiatives: the Australia/Africa/Asia Division, which will offer a weekly Chassidishe After School for Tzeirei Hashluchim on those continents, and a revamped virtual classroom site for the existing Online School.

The new virtual classroom site has students visually going to school right on their computer screens, including entering the school building’s front door, going down the hallway and entering their classroom, complete with students at desks, a teacher at the front and even a video of the Rebbe playing in the corner.

The virtual school, said to be the only one of its kind in the world, is cobbled together from a team of programmers and a very devoted staff with offices in Crown Heights. “It’s really a revolutionary and exciting idea,” says Rabbi Yossi Goodman, the school’s head of development. “And its growing drastically with today’s cutting edge technology each day”

The Shluchim Online School, another innovative project of The Shluchim Office, was launched two years ago with a grant for CYH by the late Rabbi Mendel Shemtov ע”ה and his family, and grants by Founding Sponsors Rabbi Moshe and Ruth Weiss, Shluchim in Sherman Oaks, California, and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Ferber, West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Today, the school boasts 400 students who virtually attend dozens of daily classes from Shlichus locales worldwide. For more information on the new afternoon school, click here. To virtually visit the school, click here.

  • very visual

the classroom really cute. and the video of the Rebbe is an amazing special effect. only it hurts me to see the Rebbe being used for special effects.

  • SDEROT COULD USE A PROGRAM LIKE THIS

it would be great if a program like this would be made available to kids in Sderot who are afraid to go outside their homes.

  • tuition fees

the kids in sderot can’t afford such a program, they charge the parents an arm and a leg
