DETROIT, MI [CHI] — As in previous years, the Vaad-Talmidei-Hatmimim announced the regional conventions for Talmidim-Hashluchim, serving in yeshivas around the world.
Talmidim-Hashluchim are an integral part of Yeshivos today, they serve as role models and mentors to younger Bochurim and are influential in setting the prevailing tone and atmosphere in their respective Yeshiva. The Kinus infuses them with a sense of mission and responsibility so they positively impact their younger peers.
Fifth Annual Kinus Talmidim-Hashluchim in Detroit
DETROIT, MI [CHI] — As in previous years, the Vaad-Talmidei-Hatmimim announced the regional conventions for Talmidim-Hashluchim, serving in yeshivas around the world.
Talmidim-Hashluchim are an integral part of Yeshivos today, they serve as role models and mentors to younger Bochurim and are influential in setting the prevailing tone and atmosphere in their respective Yeshiva. The Kinus infuses them with a sense of mission and responsibility so they positively impact their younger peers.
The first Kinus will be this coming Shabbos (Tisa), hosted by Yeshivas Tzeirei-Hashluchim in Tzfas. Guest Rosh Yeshivah from Manchester Rabbi Moshe Wolberg will spend Shabbos with the fifty Shluchim.
The Kinus in North America will be in Detroit, the following Shabbos (Vayakhel), hosted by the local Yeshivas Lubavitch. Special guest Rosh Yeshivah Rabbi Leima Wilhelm from Rostov/Israel will spend Shabbos with close to one hundred Shluchim.
They will gather for three days and enjoy a program chock-full of Shiurim, Farbrengens and work-shops. In addition to the guest mashpiah, they will be joined by well known local Mashpi’im, Roshei Yeshivah and area Shluchim.
Yudi Shmotkin of Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim said: “In 5750 the Rebbe strongly encouraged and derived much Nachas from the Kinus, we therefore see this as a top priority of ours.” Yitzi Steiner also of the Vaad added: “By the Shluchim going away from a Kinus inspired to fulfill their mission to the maximum, the Kinus is actually inspiring the entire Oilam Hayeshivas”
The Vaad would like to thank the Hanhala of this year’s hosting Yeshivas, Detroit and Tzfas, for extending themselves on behalf of the Shluchim.
Additional details on these Kinusim as well as in Europe will follow.
Mom
I am the proud mom of a Shliach @ Rabbi O’s Yeshiva in Tzfas. Bochurim-Shluchim really extend themselves & take their duties very seriously. It’s nice that they too have a Kinus where they can get some Chizuk (although Rabbi O is very good at giving that to his Shluchim!) I know this Kinus is eagerly anticipated…enjoy! We look forward to the report & pictures!
