Camp Gan Israel Brazil Launches Travel Camp

Since 1980 under the leadership of the Shliach of the Rebbe, Rabbi Dovid Weitman, Camp Gan Israel Brazil has been running summer and winter camps. Since then, the camp grew BH every year, and made a great impact on the lives of hundreds of Jewish teens.  

After 40 years of Hatzlacha inspiring Jewish children, Gan Israel Brazil has decided to take a step forward and expand its projects internationally. For the first time ever, Gan Israel Brazil will be running a travel camp, created for Americans girls in 9-10th grade, and Mesivta Bochrim in Shiur Alef & Beis.

This once-in-lifetime trip will be divided into 2 sessions. First session is from July 3-July 24 for the girls. Second session is from July 25-August 15 for the boys.

During the 3 week trip, the campers will have the opportunity to get a real taste of Brazil. They’ll tour breath-taking, natural sceneries across the beautiful, tropical country. The camp will travel to the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, world known for its beautiful mountains overlooking the ocean, to the Iguazu waterfalls that was awarded as one of the 7 wonders of the world, the city of S. Paulo hometown to one of the largest Jewish communities in South America, and to the beautiful beaches of Recife.

Along with the beautiful scenery, the campers will have daily Shiurim and the opportunity to visit local shluchim, hear their stories, visit the first Shul established in the Americas (1642), and experience authentic Shlichus.

The camp will be based in Gan Israel’s large and modern campgrounds located in the beautiful mountains in the region of Atibaia. The grounds feature comfortable accommodations, a shul, 2 swimming pools, gymnasium, mini-golf, beach tennis, and many other recreational amenities.
The experienced staff come with great Chayus and excitement, ready to give the campers their all. The campers will surely be uplifted, and left with unforgettable memories.

    It would be nice to know who is running the program, what the Ruchniyus would be etc…

    No one wants to send his daughter into the unknown.
