New Summer Program for the ‘In Town Boys’
A new summer program is opening in Crown Heights under the leadership of Rabbi Eli Sandhaus former director of many out of town summer programs and teacher in Yeshiva Darchai Menachem. The program will cater to mainstream boys ages 13 to 15.
“For many years parents of families that remained in crown height for the summer and could not afford to send their children to an out of town program had no options” said Rabbi Sandhaus, “we’re hoping to fill that void”.
in addition the program will be accepting registration for one week at a time. this will provide boys who go to an out of town program for part of the summer, with something to do during the time that they are in crown heights.
Rabbi Sandhaus says, the program will be very much focused on the individual, creating a wholesome environment for growth. “in past summer programs i have been involved with, i have seen a tremendous amount of growth. The summer atmosphere provides that opportunity, and we’re hoping to capitalize on it”.

About time
Sounds gr8 rabbi Sandhaus is a excellent educator
the tragedy of closing the mesivtas
before gimmul tamuz all young bochrim were in yeshiva for the summer. politics and more created this irresponsible situation, where months of work go to waste` in one summer.
the rebbe screamed about young kids having cheyder or school as usual. what would he say today, when the MESIVTAS close for the summer??!
parents should know to send there sons only to places where there is a summer in yeshiva. it is essential to their education.
A Grateful Mother
Sounds great! Thank you for seeing and filling that need. Our community needs more of foresighted mechanchim.

Is your head on straight?! Before Gimmel Tammuz it was Just the opposite! Almost every Yeshiva was closed in the summer and its students would go to camps as staff or as campers… It is just the opposite today, when so many yeshivos are remaining open for the summer, and I dare say that that is lav davka the kavana hoelyoina.
Lets move on to your next comment: “the rebbe screamed about young kids having cheyder or school as usual. what would he say today, when the MESIVTAS close for the summer??!”
CAN YOU QUOTE ME EVEN ONE PLACE OR TIME WHEN THE REBBE SCRAME ABOUT BOCHURIM STAYING IN YESHIVA FOR THE SUMMER?
unclear?
its not clear to who this program is targeting?
