Photos: First Week at YKM Minnesota!

Bochurim in Yeshivas Kayitz Minnesota enjoyed a packed first week, which started off with a hands on lesson in Shechita in which they shechted a lamb, which they barbecued and ate later that day, a trip to Wells Minnesota for a swim, a visit to Mall of America, the largest mall in the world where they put on Teffilin with tens of shoppers, and a go-cart course at 45mph!

    I probably couldn’t bring myself to munch down on a farm animal I had watched been shechted earlier in the day. I must say these boys must have strong stomachs, to watch the lamb being shechted; gobbled it up with much relish and then gone on those screaming rides. One thing I can say about this camp is they sure teach resilience.

    They should also visit a poice station, hospital & a prison – just to see life at different perspectives.
    Also, a ride in an ambulance would not be a bad idea.
    Aw heck, you could even throw in a visit to a medical examiner too.

    poor lamb, i dont think it is proper or chassidish to shect in such a way, is does not need to be publicized on some website.

    firstly, did mulule wash his hands,
    secondly, is he making a sandwich for himself or is it for someone else???

    Why and what is the reasoning behind the shechting of the lamb?
    Are they becoming shochtim? Are they learning hilchos shechita? They are kids?! I think # 12 is 100% right, but he left out a visit to a morgue.

    just for ppl knowledge mall of america is not the biggest in the world it barely makes it in 3or 4 place the Mall of Asia is over 4 million sqft with over 15 hundred stores and the mall in canada is around 3.8 million sqft with the biggest in dooor water park ,amusement park etc over 800 stores and owened by frum jews bh
