BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — A significantly larger group picture was photographed this morning in front of Lubavitcher Yeshiva on Ocean Parkway, dubbed one of its largest summer sessions yet, Camp F.R.E.E.’s second month began a few short days ago with well over 100 children in attendance.
“We are giving these children a sense of Jewish pride and belonging” said Rabbi Dan Dashevsky, the administrator of the camp, adding “for most kids this is their only Jewish day camp they attend on a study basis.”
With the economy as bad as it is for some of these kids it’s a matter of eating breakfast and lunch every day, and the camp provides it happily while fusing the Gashmius with Ruchnius.
