To the comment about the careless taxi –
It could have happened to any driver.
People do not realize that at night it is very hard to see pedestrains that are walking in middle of the street. I
hope everyone who reads this story will
be more careful in the future.
May we only hear good news!

REFUAH SHELAIMA!
don-t jump to blaming the driver
walk till brooklyn and use the traffic lights!!! it’s a 2 way street!
to all you about crossing at the corner
How right you all are ESPECIALLY crossing empire at balfour and lamont.
Empire and Bklyn turns and its almost impossible to see around the bend even more so in the rain and at night.
Empire and Kingston might be a straight block but for some odd reason they were never able to get the traffic lights at these 2 corners to be syncronized. it extremely difficult to cross in middle while having 2 red light, let alone the fact that she was 65 and it was rainging and night time.
Let us all take time to think about this A- if anyone knows the family too try and help and B- as the saying goes "better be late then ‘the late’

A LONG TIME DRIVER
I CAN’T EVEN COUNT THE TIMES THAT I BARELY MISS HITTING SOMEONE AT NIGHT CROSSING IN MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK. PEOPLE DON’T REALIZE THAT THEY ARE NOT VISIBLE AT NIGHT IF THEY ARE WEARING DARK CLOTHES AND ESPECIALLY IN THE RAIN. I FEEL JUST AS BAD FOR THE POOR DRIVER WHO HAS TO LIVE WITH THE GUILT.
