Woman Struck, Killed By 18-Wheeler Truck in Crown Heights Hit-and-Run

A fatal hit-and-run closed Eastern Parkway Friday morning after an 18 wheeler struck a person around around 5:30am.
The incident took place near Eastern Parkway and Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights section, with the police closing off the area for the investigation.
According to police, the driver was headed eastbound on Eastern Parkway when the truck struck the woman. The driver did not remain on scene, police said, and it is believed that he may not be aware he struck her. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
