
Child Struck, Thrown To The Ground In Crown Heights Hit and Run

A child was struck by a car and thrown to the ground in Crown Heights Wednesday as he was crossing Maple Street on Kingston Ave.
As seen on video obtained by Crown Heights Shomrim, the boy was legally crossing Kingston Ave when a vehicle made the turn from Maple Street while the boy was midway through the crosswalk. Clearly not seeing him, the vehicle continues directly into him, throwing him to the ground and narrowly missing him with the tires.
Thankfully the boy was not seriously injured and was able to stand up on his own and walk to the sidewalk.
Witnesses to the incident quickly approached the boy to help, while the person who struck the boy simply idled in their vehicle for a minute before driving off.
Hatzalah was called who treated the boy, 911 was Also called to take a police report.
