Three parked cars and home wall were damaged Thursday morning when a drunk driver lost control on Eastern Parkway and wrecked havoc on the service lane.

A Shomrim volunteer was on the streets of Crown Heights in the early hours of Thursday morning when he heard a loud bang. Moments later, he pulled onto the Eastern Parkway service lane on the 77th Precinct side between Albany and Kingston and found the source of the noise.

A drunk driver returning from a music party had lost control and slammed into two parked cars before hopping onto the sidewalk and careening into the wall of a Jewish home. Still intoxicated, the driver attempted to reverse, but collided with a third parked car.

With the Shomrim volunteer on scene, the intoxicated individual was kept calm and remained on scene until the NYPD arrived. He was arrested for driving under the influence.
