Crown Heights, Brooklyn — At around 11:30am a woman driving a BMW crashed into a reinforced gate of a home at the intersection of Crown Street and Brooklyn Avenue. The car appeared to have been heading down Brooklyn and upon reaching the intersection it lost control and collided with the gate.

Driver Crashes into House on Crown Street

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — At around 11:30am a woman driving a BMW crashed into a reinforced gate of a home at the intersection of Crown Street and Brooklyn Avenue. The car appeared to have been heading down Brooklyn and upon reaching the intersection it lost control and collided with the gate.

FDNY and FDNY EMS responded within moments and began treating the driver who sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Thank g-d there were no pedestrians standing by the corner at the time of the accident.

This intersection has an extensive history of violent crashes into that particular gate, including an incident where an elderly resident and member of Anash was once struck waiting for the light.

    the bricks got damaged, ouch thought those poles of steel would hold that back.

    in general it aint a corner to crash into, so many accidents have happened on that corner its good thing the city put up those poles.

    besides, suggesting the drivers to drive more carefully, how about building something soft on that corner, so that drivers should have safer landing?

    i was there when it happened and it was so scary… things always happen on that corner…DRIVERS BE AWARE

    I dont think the city put up those polls. The homeowners of that house did. There has been a history of many accidents on that corner house that why they put up those polls.

    I remember at least one crash on that corner years ago, before the poles were put up. Back then most of the bricks and 1/2 the front yard were smashed to pieces in the crash. The poles make a big difference.

    the only car that is considered a nazi car, is the VW. As for the Mercs,the BMW’s and the rest of the german cars out there,they are German,yes,but not nazi.     Interesting conversation, I think if one is concerned with what car he/she drives, FORD motor company has a muche worse name then any german car. during world war 2 ford sent tons of money to suport the natzi war machine, and they were in america they did not need to do that, bmw and vw and so on wee in germany they had no choice, second, for many years ford motor company made it a point not to hire any jewish help. but yet every other frum family has a ford vehicle.
    third, I would like to know what ELI ADLER thinks about all this, I like that man, my newest found HERO.

    Hitler was chauffeured around in custom cars built by Mercedes.

    BMW built airplanes and engines for the Nazi air force (the BMW logo is a spinning propeller, from it’s days as an aircraft builder.)

    Not that any of this is relevant to buying a German car these days….

    I agree with raysh lakish. Henry Ford himself was a horrible anti-Semite. He published his own newspaper (The Dearborn Independent I believe) so all his anti-semitism is well documented.

    But guess what? If you buy a ford HENRY FORD AIN’T GONNA GET THE MONEY!! FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL! And the same applies for German cars. Today Germany is accepting thousands upon thousands (maybe even millions I don’t know exactly) of Russian Jews, many of whom don’t work and are living off the generosity of the German government.
