Vendor ‘Loses’ Cart in Eastern Parkway Accident

A street food vendor on his way to work suffered an odd mishap when he ‘lost’ his food cart on Easter Parkway this morning. The upended cart spilled grease, oil and other cooking supplies all over the roadway.

The incident occurred at around 10:40am just after the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Brooklyn Avenue. It appears that a part of the cart which allows it to be hooked up to a tow hitch had become dislodged, separating the two.

Eyewitnesses said that at first the cart skidded on its own down the parkway but quickly upended and crashed down onto its side. Thankfully the two cans of propane gas that was onboard did not explode.

The disabled cart was still lying on the roadway an hour after the incident, waiting for a tow truck that can lift the cart and take it away.
