“His Helmet Definitely Saved His Life”
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — “His helmet definitely saved his life,” is what an emergency worker had to say after treating the rider of a motorcycle who crashed into a car on Eastern Parkway. This accident comes just two days after another accident claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman on Empire Boulevard.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Schenectady Avenue at around 5:30pm. According to eyewitnesses the rider rear-ended a blue Toyota Camry that was stopped at a red light.
The motorcycle sustained heavy damage but the rider miraculously did not; still, he was rushed to the hospital by EMS. One of the emergency responders told CrownHeights.info that “His helmet definitely saved his life.”
This is the second accident involving a two-wheeled-cycle in just two days. On Tuesday a tragic accident on the intersection of Empire Boulevard and Bedford Avenue claimed the life of 24-year-old Emma Blumstein, who was struck by a delivery truck that was making a left turn.
“Using safety equipment, such as helmets and flashing lights [at night], can greatly reduce the risk of serious injuries in non-serious accidents,” said a law enforcement official, noting that “it is mandatory to have such precautions on any motorized cycle.”

Its up to hashem if we will live or die, not because of a helmet or a seat belt

that is true but god wants us to be safe and not rely on him doing a miracle.taking safety precautions is one of the things he wants us to do so as not to get hurt-then the rest is up to him

There was also a guy on Kingston and Eastern Pkwy on a motorcycle who was hit by a Jewish guy in a minivan yesterday. The guy was alright, but it was not pretty, and the Jewish guy in the minivan did not stop to find out
Agreed
I agree with number 3 &
